Jamila’s Ethical Coffee
We set out to craft a delicious, premium, shade-grown, organic, and Fairtrade instant coffee with the lowest possible carbon footprint, entirely plastic-free, and priced to compete with high-street brands.
100% of our profit directly supports dementia care. Our recycled steel packaging is durable, fully recyclable, and designed for reuse. It’s a simple, sustainable choice for those who value quality and impact.
The Ethical Coffee Bag
Our bags were created and developed in conjunction with the women and the staff at HMP Downview, just a few miles from our office in South London. Our Ethical Coffee Bag project perfectly exemplifies who we are and what makes us different.
Jute sacks, used to transport the beans for our coffee, are collected and sent to Downview Prison. There, the women upcycle them into beautiful bags, gaining skills and NVQ qualifications that help them secure jobs in the fashion industry upon release. It’s just one of the innovative ways we’re reducing our environmental footprint while making a meaningful social difference.
Ethical Beanie
We work with construction and civil engineering businesses and set out to create an ethical beanie with zero microplastics. After testing organic GOTS cotton, we sourced it from Europe and developed a high-quality, world-first 100% GOTS-certified, plastic-free beanie.

Ethstat Tree Pen
Initially designed for and used to sign the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio, which laid the groundwork for the fight against climate change, the first tree pen went out of production in the early 2000s.
We took the design and modified it so it would become biodegradable, fully plantable and plastic-free. The Ethstat Tree Pen is made from corn starch, paper and vegan inks.
